Galerie von Opel is delighted to present the work of Laura Bott, in collaboration with  Museum Mater (Barcelona). The exhibition will be on view in our gallery from

October  5 to November 9.

Laura is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores processes of transformation, shifts from liquid to solid, from paint to sculpture, from ephemeral gesture to lasting form. She often works with simple or recycled materials, situating her art in a dynamic tension between the organic and the geometric, the biological-holistic and the structural.

Her installation Viceversa is composed of paraffin plates that evoke abstract three-dimensional forms. Layered and translucent, the plates suggest an ongoing melting process, offering the viewer two perspectives depending on which side is observed. This work, like much of Bott’s practice, engages the spectator in a dialogue between fragility and permanence, chance and order, material and metaphor.
