    Galerie Andrea Caratsch and Galerie von Opel jointly presented Allegro, a new exhibition by artist Rolf Sachs.
     
    Rolf Sachs (born 1955) is a Rome-based multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work spans painting, sculpture, photography, and design. Since the 1990s, he has reinterpreted materials and everyday objects to challenge conventional uses and meanings. His recent practice explores the human psyche with humor and sensitivity, focusing on imperfection, human flaws, and chance. Sachs has exhibited internationally at major institutions including the V&A in London, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, and the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein.

    Galerie von Opel was pleased to announce a collaboration with Museum Mater (Barcelona), duration was from 5 October to 9 November in St. Moritz.
    Museum Mater is a dedicated to contemporary art, with a special focus on Mediterranean identity, heritage, and cultural exchange. Known for its innovative exhibitions and strong ties to local and international artistic communities, Mater is a vibrant platform for dialogue and discovery.
    This October, Mater will present twelve artists - six from the Engadin and six from Catalonia - creating a unique conversation between these two regions, their landscapes, traditions, and contemporary voices.
    We are honoured to be partnering with Museum Mater and support this unique cultural bridge between St. Moritz and Barcelona.

    Between July 5 and September 28, 2025, Galerie von Opel presented an exhibition showcasing the works of Swiss-Italian artist Arnaldo Ricciardi titled Light and Reflection. Curated to match the spatial and architectural context of the gallery and the impressive Engadin mountainside, Ricciardi’s abstract works investigated colour, layering, and spatial perception.

    In the Winter 2024/2025 season, Galerie von Opel, in partnership with Thaddaeus Ropac’s gallery, exhibited the sculptures of Swiss sculptor Hans Josephsohn under the title "A Dialogue with Winter".
     
    Josephsohn’s work is distinguished by its profound engagement with the human form, expressed through a highly personal and tactile approach. His sculptures possess a timeless quality, evoking presence, memory, and the fundamental conditions of human existence.

    Galerie von Opel is a contemporary art space located in the centre of St. Moritz  as a platform for artistic exchange. Spanning 360m2 over two floors, the gallery presents exhibitions featuring both emerging and established artists from Switzerland and abroad and is committed to showcasing work that reflects the diversity and depth of contemporary practice. The gallery is open to broad international dialogue, presenting artists and perspectives that engage with global conversations in contemporary art.
